The Rector's Office of CTU hosted the presentation and opening ceremony of the Centre for Law, Finance and Technology (CeLFaT) of the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies of CTU in Prague on Friday 8 December 2023.

The Centre was established this year as a unique multidisciplinary workplace in the Czech Republic to address issues at the intersection of finance, financial, commercial and European law, regulation and compliance, and digital technologies. CeLFaT will focus primarily on high-quality international research, grant activity, education and cooperation with practice.  In addition to traditional research areas such as banking, insurance and financial regulation, CeLFaT will focus on new areas such as FinTech, Sustainable Finance, Artificial Intelligence and Crypto-Activities.

The Centre was introduced by its director and founder Jan Škrabka, who focuses primarily on financial and commercial law, finance and financial regulation.
The first publication produced at CelFaT was christened by the Rector of CTU Vojtěch Petráček and the Director of the MÚVS Vladimíra Dvořáková.
