The 70th annual running race and the 60th annual Academic Cross Country Championships were held at the Obora Hvězda park on Friday, 17 November, 2023. The race was traditionally organized by the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of CTU, the race was held under the auspices of the Rector of CTU in Prague doc. Vojtěch Petráček.
The races were blessed by favourable weather, which attracted around 400 athletes in fourteen categories to the Obora Hvězda park. Vít Hlaváč (FBMI) and Lukáš Gdula (FEL) reigned supreme in the men's main race and the academic championship, while Bára Stýblová (2LFUK) was the winner of the women's race. Congratulations to Lenka Pardamcová (CTU FBMI) on her excellent sixth place in the academic championship.
The awards ceremony was attended by the Director of the CTU Institute of Physical Education and Spor doc. PaedDr. Jiří Drnek CSc and the Vice-Rector of CTU Ing. Radek Holý, Ph.D.
