"It was that glorious day when we were connected to the electric current" sings the fmaous song Electric Waltz by Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř. Its tunes were also heard on 31 October 2023 at the official representative ball of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the CTU in the Slavonic House in Prague, where four-legged robots SPOT and our student Jan Vlk and his dance partner Eliška Vlková danced to their rhytm.
Another highlight of the evening was the performance of Jan "Pokáč" Pokorný, a well-known singer-songwriter and graduate of FEE CTU. The programme also featured a concert by the student band StartUp, with student Barbora Kindlová behind the drums, Irish dancing by the group Sona-Sól (Merry Hooves) and a performance of "Data in Motion" by PhD students Vojtěch Leischner and Pavel Husa from the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction. throughout the evening, Magnum Jazz Bigband played for both dancing and listening.
The general partner of the ball was ČEZ, the event was also financially supported by QMiners and Ferona.
