On October 28th, marking the state holiday, representatives of the Czech universities, as they do every year, honoured the memory of the founding father of the Czechoslovak Republic, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.

The rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague, RNDr. Vojtěch Petráček, CSc, was among those taking part in the traditional act, organised by the Czech Conference of Rectors, of laying a wreath next to the statue of TGM on Hradčanské náměstí in Prague.
