In the course of last year, the Department of Cybernetics of FEE CTU decided to remove the computers from two of its classrooms and donate them to an institution that could find better uses for them.
The computers no longer met the requirements for professional use, but they will help the children at the basic school in Králův Dvůr to raise their computer literacy, and they will have a role in the children’s creative activities. A total of 19 computers were donated, and according to Evžen Krob, headmaster of the school, they will be used to replace computers in the classrooms, to strengthen the new audiovisual classroom, and one will be used for the school’s Minecraft server.
Instead disposing of them in an eco-friendly manner, a suitable and meaningful new use has been found for the computers. We hope they will give good service to the basic school in Králův Dvůr.
