On 12 June, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU in Prague hosted the third international presentation of the most successful student projects, EuroTeQaThon. Students developed their ideas in the project orientated EuroTeQ Collider course. Within its framework, students were solving assignments from industrial partners. During the event, the three best developed topics of the "Leave no Waste behind" challenge from each of the following EuroTeQ partner university were presented - Technical University of Munich (TUM), Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e), Ecole Polytechnique (L'X), Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), and Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech).

Among the 18 teams, the jury selected the following as the most successful:

In the Impact category, the team The Himalayan Legos from the Technical University of Munich was selected.

In the Innovation category, the winners were the Space Junk Juggernauts from Eindhoven University of Technology.

In the Ready-to-Launch category, the SoftAware project from the Technical University of Munich was awarded.

During the event, a meeting between TU of Denmark students and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr. Soren Kelstrup took place. "I was very impressed by the innovative solutions presented at EuroTeQaThon! Of course, it was a pleasure to meet and discuss with students from the Technical University of Denmark. Many thanks to the great hosts from CTU for the excellent organization of this beneficial international presentation. With such capable and ambitious teachers and their students, I have great faith in our sustainable future, which as the title of this challenge states, "Leave no Waste behind!"

The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Daan Feddo Huisinga, who commented on the EuroTeQaThon as follows: "Science has no borders and the success of The Space Juggernauts team from TUE and CVUT is its proof. It is inspiring to see young students from all over the EU collaborating on solving challenges such as space debris that can may impact all of us. I see EuroTeQaThon as a great event igniting multinational cooperation for future scientists and changemakers".

This year's EuroTeQaThon was the culmination of one of the challenges of EuroTeQ, a project of the European University Alliance, which aims to deepen international cooperation between universities and to introduce new teaching methods based on the principles and needs of modern education.

EuroTeQ started its three-year pilot project in 2020. It has created a new model of engineering education, promoting international mobility, and introducing a set of micro-credentials, EuroTeQ Honours and a range of other activities.
