The Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and the Prague Diocese of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church was signed by Bishop of Prague David Tonzar and Rector of the CTU Vojtěch Petráček. It concerns in particular the use of the Bethlehem Chapel in October 2024.
The CTU will lend the premises of the Bethlehem Chapel to the Prague Diocese for the celebration and commemoration of the personality of Jan Žižka of Trocnov marking the 600th anniversary of his death. The event will take place from 11 October 2024 to 14 October 2024. Both parties agreed that they consider it important to play an active part in the education of the youth and in developing the best traditions of the older generations. The outstanding contribution of Jan Žižka to technical progress, especially in the field of military and fortification, is also important for the representatives of both parties.
