The 2023 festival of blossoming Japanese cherry trees known as Hanami was celebrated on one of the series of chilly days at the end of April. However, the cold weather did not stop people interested in the celebrations coming together on Wednesday, April 26th and marking the beginning of the Vektor Technická season of events in Technická Street.
The programme included dance and music performances, and there was plenty to eat and drink. The rectors of the Czech Technical University and the Institute of Chemistry and Technology visited the event, as did many other distinguished guests. And the main thing was that, this year, the sakura cherry trees were in full blossom!
