The greatest interest in the programme was recorded by Charles University in Prague, which was visited by 3,300 visitors. Albertov was lit up on this magical night and prepared a perfect atmosphere for light games, molecular bar and exploring medicinal plants with all senses. In addition, those interested could take part in an experiment in which they could experience for themselves the effect of colours on the function of the human brain.

At the Czech Technical University in Prague there were queues for formula cars, motorbikes and flight simulation. There was entertainment for everyone at the eight displays. Children liked the robots, while adults were attracted by the highly equipped ambulance, lie detector and robots that can tap beer. The battle game across Prague universities was also a success - at the CTU, samples were recognized by smell and then matched to individual faculties. Over 2000 science and technology enthusiasts participated in the programme at the CTU in Prague.

This time, Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague offered  the Walks through the labyrinth of senses at the ICT, as well as the workshops Taste the marmalade now and here and Light here, light there, light wherever I look, which were filled to capacity before the start of Night of Scientists. The guides of the walks dressed up in original costumes designed by Anna Průšová and Erik Šatra. Thanks to the combination of art and science, visitors were able to take away a unique experience. More than 2500 people went to the ICT building. "The interest in the program with required registration was so huge that we were increasing the capacity on the spot", described Dana Kardová, program designer of the Night of Scientists at ICT Prague and coordinator of the whole Night of Scientists in Prague.

The campus of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague began to fill up at 17.00. This year, the organisers prepared a programme in which visitors got to know exotic objects by touch, tasted exotic fruits and fair trade chocolate, experienced how water flows through the landscape, touched the soil and got to know nature literally with all their senses. There were also queues at the virtual reality and virtual shooting range. Whistles sounded through the campus, which was one of the promotional items marking the hearing sense.

This year the University of Economics in Prague prepared a fun escape game Money Adventure, which was a huge success. Participants joined the game using their mobile phones. The app guided players through seven stations that allowed them to delve into the amazing world of statistics and probability, find out what marketing tastes like, or get tips on how to manage food properly and save money. They learned about coin and banknote making at a station set up in collaboration with the CNB Visitor Centre. This year, 230 people came to enjoy financial literacy with all their senses.

Clever entertainment in Prague awaited all curious visitors even at non-scientific institutions. The Jaroslav Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences participated for the first time this year in the European project J. Heyrovský Chair. "The scientific show - chemical theatre, 'Alchemists' was a great success with the audience and there was great interest in other activities including excursions to laboratories and a nice change was the blind tasting and also the musical production performed by fellow scientists who, in addition to their scientific careers, are also engaged in music and thus delighted our ears." the organisers commented. The Institute of Physics of the CAS - Ládví prepared a demonstration of a levitation train, which attracted especially families with children. The unusual lecture by Mr. and Mrs. Ebro, The Biggest Collisions in the Universe, also attracted attention. The Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, a.s. prepared an on-line lecture Do we perceive beer and other foods with all our senses? and a photo corner in the spirit of František Ondřej Poupěta, the founder of Czech professional brewing. "We were once again delighted by the great interest of visitors in research and education in the field of malt and beer and their pride in the Czech national drink." Jaromír Fiala from the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, a.s.

Night of the Scientists was initiated by the European Commission in 2005 and has been showing people that science is not boring ever since. This year's night full of science BY ALL SENSES attracted nearly 14,000 enthusiasts in Prague and a total of 75,000 visitors in 61 other cities across the Czech Republic.
