Experimental projects of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU (FEL) were presented on the weekend of 17th and 18th September at the Holešovice Market Hall at the "festival of modern DIYers and inventors" Maker Faire Prague. The fifth edition of the event was traditionally held with the participation of talents from our faculty.

The following creative projects were among others this year:

  • The Robocompetition exhibition with a piano-playing robot, Ludvik, the world's largest humanoid robot made of nearly 40,000 Lego pieces, a Rubik's Cube robot and other Lego attractions.
  • Workshop of wITches, a group of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, who organize electrotechnical clubs and events for primary school children.
  • Exposition of robots, electronics and magnetism from the Department of Measurement of FEL CTU in Prague.

Maker Faire festivals are a worldwide phenomenon related to the so called maker movement, a renaissance of DIY and making that corresponds significantly with the development of robotics and new trends in electrical engineering. For this reason, the Czech version of Maker Faire Prague has been held since 2018 with the significant support from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
