On the occasion of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studues, the Rector doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Petráček, CSc. awarded doc. PhDr. Dana Dobrovská, CSc., a well-known personality of engineering pedagogy at MÚVS, with a medal for significant contributions to the development of the Czech Technical University in Prague on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Laudatio was delivered by doc. Ing. David Vaněček, Ph.D.

Doc. Dobrovská has made a major contribution to the development of teaching in technical education and is an internationally recognized authority in this field. She was at the birth of the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies, where she still works today and where she headed the department of engineering pedagogy for twenty years. Doc. Dobrovská has contributed significantly to the international recognition of Czech engineering pedagogy, especially through her activities in the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP), where she served as its president. She has always approached the education of future teachers of engineering subjects as a mission with great personal commitment and a high degree of professionalism. Contemporary Czech society is increasingly aware of the importance of pedagogical education of teachers of technical subjects and it was doc. Dana Dobrovská, who contributed to its qualitative development with her professional and human activity.
