Computer scientists from CTU FEL also achieve excellent results in the field of robotics, where they are ranked 8th in Europe. In the competition of the best European universities, the scientists also excel in Economics & Computation, where they are ranked 15th, and in Artificial Intelligence, where they are ranked 34th.

Prof. Matas is the highest ranked computer scientist from the Czech Republic
According to the international ranking of Research.com, which evaluates the success of computer scientists based on their H-index, citations and the number of documents collected by 6 December, 2021, the top-ranked Czech computer scientist is Prof. Jiří Matas from the Department of Cybernetics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU. The success of CTU is underlined by the fact that it has three representatives among the first four Czech scientists - Dr. Josef Šivic (CIIRC CTU) is 2nd and Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Pajdla (CIIRC CTU and FEL CTU) is 4th.
