INSPIRELI ARCHICAD PRIZE - 1st place Alžběta Bílková

In the INSPIRELI ARCHICAD PRIZE category, which is awarded to the best student project created with ArchiCAD software, and the submitted projects also compete in the relevant category within the INSPIRELI AWARDS, she won first place with her design for the Floating Concert Hall on the Vltava River. Her design was created within the course Studio Design - Master 2, supervised by doc. Akad. arch. Mikuláš Hulec, Ing. arch. Iva Dvořáková, Ing. arch. Matěj Boháč and MgA. Petr Kolář.

Alžběta Bílková's goal was to create a modern, timeless, multifunctional floating concert hall for Fine Arts such as jazz, solo recital, chamber orchestra etc. The most important themes were variability, flexibility of equipment layout and seating for the audience.

The inspiration for the design came from the form of a folded paper boat and the reflection on the water surface. These two parts were merged together to create a functional concert hall floating on the river. The added value of the project is the social embankment, which is missing in this location with a beautiful view of the Prague Castle skyline. The resulting shape of the floating hall is composed of individual triangles bordered by a ramp that slowly descends from the level of the embankment wall to the surface of the Vltava River. The maximum capacity of the concert hall is 434 seated spectators. As the building is assembled on two interconnected pontoons, it can be towed into the annex during floods. The supporting system is made of steel profiles. A sense of lightness is provided by a glass roof, which can be removed in summer, shaded by a waterproof stretch fabric. The floating hall is held in place by 4 anchors attached to the quay wall, allowing vertical movement and adjustment to the river level. INSPIRELI COMPETITION - CAMPUS SLOVAK TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, BRATISLAVA - 3rd place Michaela Zapletalová

The aim of this special category was to design the shape of the future STU campus. The category attracted 180 projects, 257 participants from 28 countries.  The submitted projects also competed in the main INSPIRELI AWARDS competition. Michaela Zapletalova's design, which won the 3rd place, was created within the course Architectural Design Studio 3, the supervisors of the work were Ing. arch. Vojtěch Dvořák and Ing. arch. Jiří Trojan.

The aim of Michaela Zapletalová's project was to design an extension of the heavy laboratories that would serve the public for exhibitions, as well as an innovation and research centre for the school, a study room with a library for students. For this reason, the building was connected to the three surrounding faculties by footbridges. In her project, the student merged all the functions, but also addressed the material and material treatments to respond to the purpose of the building. The intent was to create a building that would match both functionally as well as its architectural expression. INSPIRELI LUMION AWARD - 1st place Eva Svárovská in the Interior Design category

The prize is awarded to the best student project created with the LUMION software, the submitted projects also compete in the relevant category within the INSPIRELI AWARDS.  The work was created in the Studio of Arch. Creation 3, the supervisor of the work was Ing. arch. Vladimír Gleich. Eva Svárovská's goal was to create an art gallery for the works of Alfons Mucha in Prague's Holešovice. The shape of the building reflects Mucha's work as such - his paintings are full of curves, flowing hair and wavy fabric. The layered composition of the cloak represents the complexity of his work. Located next to Tipsport Arena Prague, the building should be elegant and eye-catching with its shape and luminous cladding at night. In the surroundings of the gallery, the artist decided to use water elements complemented by greenery to create a suitable parterre for the Alfons Mucha Gallery.
