The Department of Biomedical Engineering FBMI will cooperate with the Department of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative and Intensive Care Medicine, Faculty of Medical Studies, J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and Krajská zdravotní, a.s. - Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem (KAPIM).
The cooperation will mainly concern the area of data collection and their evaluation with the help of ICM + software, cooperation in working with international databases of clinical data, including the creation of databases of patients after intracranial injury.
Doc. Ing. Martin Rožánek, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering FBMI, adds: "We are glad that we will also cooperate in the field of student graduate theses and publishing activities of joint scientific results."
The cooperation agreement was signed by the Dean of FBMI prof. MUDr. Jozef Rosina, Ph.D., MBA, with the CEO of Krajská zdravotní, a.s., MUDr. Petr Malý, MBA, who said: “We welcome the cooperation between our Department of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative and Intensive Care Medicine and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering. We clearly perceive laboratory research as well as data collection as an important segment. With this cooperation, we want to expand the background for the teaching process of the Faculty of Health Studies UJEP. It is also a clear strengthening of the faculty and Krajská zdravotní , a.s. in the field of scientific research and publishing. "
"We are aware that the pressure to collect and evaluate medical data is currently increasing, as their results will significantly help further research and thus to faster and more effective treatment of serious diseases," adds the Dean of FBMI prof. Jozef Rosina.
