The prestigious ranking of the Forbes 30 under 30 magazine, ie 30 talented, capable and successful people under the age of 30, again this year selected a student of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering (FNSPE). This year, it is Petr Hauschwitz from the Department of Physical Electronics, who is completing his doctorate and currently working at the HiLASE Center.

Petr Hauschwitz is preparing to defend his doctoral thesis Large surface functionalization by Iaser-induced micro and nanostructures on 25 February, 2021. Last September, he received a prestigious award from the Czech Physical Society for research into methods for creating superhydrophobic surfaces using lasers. In November, he was a guest on the Czech Television show Sama doma, where he talked, among other things, about what brought him to the study of lasers (you can watch it here). At HiLASE, he now leads a group of experts who, in their research, focus mainly on methods of accelerating and streamlining laser micromachining using special multi-volume methods.

A year ago, Roberta Bimbová from the Department of Physical Electronics and David Klečka, a graduate from the Department of Mathematics at the FNSPE, were included in the ranking of Forbes magazine.
