The postponed Championship of the Czech Republic for a 50-kilometer walk took place in Trnava on Saturday, 5 December, 2020. The race was postponed from the spring term and untraditionally took place on the athletic oval, so it was necessary to miss a full 125 laps. The winner was Vít Hlaváč, studying the Biomedical Technician field at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Czech Technical University with a time of 3:56:26, setting a new Czech record.

"The race developed promisingly up to the 35th kilometer, where we reached this goal in a three-member group at a time promising performance under 4 hours. The race really started here and at the 40th kilometer I found myself alone in the leading position. I increased my lead up to the 45th kilometer, where it stabilized at about one minute ahead of the second Czech national team member and my training colleague Lukáš Gdula, “says Vít Hlaváč about the race.

In an exhaustive finale, Vít managed to keep up the lead and thus achieve the premier championship title in the adult category, in addition to the new Czech national record for a 50,000 m walk with a time of 3:56:26. It has been held since 1985 by the Czech current coach Ivo Piták (3:58:28). "Hence I broke his record by a full two minutes, also with Lukáš  (3:57:22) being the second. Above all, we both managed to move up significantly in the world rankings to the promotion positions for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021! During the beginning of next season, my task will be to strengthen this position and really represent the Czech Republic under the five color circles in the summer, "adds the new champion of the republic, Vít Hlaváč.
