The annual conference of the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE), which was to be hosted by the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FA) from 26 to 29 August 2020, will be postponed to next year. It will take place on a new date from 25 to 28 August 2021. The decision arose from the worldwide development of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oya Atalay Franck, President of the European Association for Architectural Education of the EAAE, and members of the EAAE Council, together with the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University, prof. Ladislav Lábus and the head of the organizing committee doc. Dalibor Hlaváček have agreed to postpone the conference.

The decision was made after careful consideration of the risks associated with the participation of foreign guests, taking into account the spread of the COVID-19 virus as well as all current emergency measures and travel restrictions.

The postponement of the deadline will not affect the planned program or the topics that the conference entitled "New Dimensions: Reflections on Scale increase and Overlapping Disciplines" will address. It will focus on a new dimension of the architectural profession, related to environmental and social challenges and the growing capacity and intensity of opportunities to change the world.

This scaling up and the intertwining of disciplines in architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture cannot be done without properly educated professionals. The task of schools of architecture is to respond to these requirements and project them into current educational programs.

The EAAE (European Association for Architectural Education) is an international organization that brings together over 130 European schools of architecture. Its mission is to improve the quality of architectural education and the common architectural policy in Europe and to promote discussion and exchange of information in the field of architectural education and research.
