Magnetic attachment to the spectacle frame makes OrCam MyEye 2 the only wearable artificial vision aid. It is operated by intuitive hand gestures or by tapping the device body. The visual inputs are transmitted audio via a small speaker. An inconspicuous and lightweight finger-sized device can do without an Internet connection, protecting the privacy and security of the user's personal data. OrCam MyEye 2 is available worldwide in 25 languages and 48 countries.
OrCam is also developing assistive technologies for people with hearing impairments. The first AI-based wearable device in the world that makes hearing aids 'smart' identifies and isolates one voice among many speakers, and thus clears it to the hearing aid in real time via Bluetooth.
Ráchel Skleničková, a student of the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, performed at the Prague Spring and other prestigious music festivals or recorded with Miroslav Žbirka in the famous London Abbey Road studio. She has been using OrCam MyEye 2 for several weeks and has shared its experience with the device. Without being connected to external computing capabilities, its artificial intelligence can read all printed text, even from the screen and any other surface, as well as recognize faces, colors, banknotes and shop shelves. Rachel Skleničková is thus able to manage everyday life with unprecedented ease and comfort.
