Martin Mazanec and Matouš Skála from the Faculty of Information Technology are developing applications that help millions of people around the world in their desire for a healthier life. The new Fitify application proposes an effective, personalized workout plan, tailored to the user and guides the user through each video session. The students founded Fitify Workouts, which now includes a team of more than 15 developers, designers, physiotherapists and fitness trainers. The technical aspect of the matter is mainly taken care of by FIT students and graduates. So far, it has been able to reach out to over eight million people around the world.

The Fitify Workouts have developed more Fitify Apps for mobiles that act as a home fitness trainer, making it easier to fulfill the desire to live differently, better and healthier. “600,000 people train with us every month,” says Martin Mazanec. They have recently developed a new, improved application called Pure Fitify, which is downloaded by over 120,000 users each month. With this number they have already caught up with global competitors such as Runtastic, Nike Training Club or 8fit. Last year, students put together 18 million workouts and burned 2.4 billion calories.

With the new Fitify app, users can tell themselves what they want to work on - to lose some pounds, gain muscle, improve fitness, or embark on a healthy lifestyle. According to the input questionnaire, Fitify will prepare a tailored training plan for everybody. More demanding users can choose one of 25 workouts targeted to individual parts of the body or specific type of training, such as yoga, stretching or even a massage. Workouts with Fitify do not require any special tools and can only be done with your own body weight.
The new application has recently been successful in the competition of domestic mobile applications AppParade. Among other things, thanks to the original use of push notifications, which motivate users to exercise again with the following quotes: "Sometimes later becomes never.", "The best view comes after the hardest climb." „When you want to give up, remember why you started.“ These phrases can remind the user why he actually started the exercise and what was behind his decision to do something with himself and his life.

The company plans to extend its application to promote psychological well-being in the form of audiomeditation and breathing exercises. At the same time the company is working on an application for compiling healthy personal diets. Customers will enjoy a customized menu including all dietary restrictions, from gluten-free diet to individual allergens to keto diet. We work with nutritional therapists and nutritionists.
