Professor Jiří Matas from the Department of Cybernetics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, received a special AI Awards 2018 project award, which aims to introduce successful professionals and companies that set the direction of AI technology development on a global scale.
This “special prize for putting the Czech Republic on the radar in the world of AI” is intended for a person whose activities help to spread the reputation of the Czech Republic as a leader in AI. According to one of the jury members, prof. Matas is "a leading, world-renowned scientist whose work regularly brings international scientific capabilities to the Czech Republic."
