Meeting with a delegation from Soul´s Dongguan University was held on Friday, 5 October where CTU Vice-Rector for Science, Creative Activities, Doctoral Studies and Foreign Relations prof. Ing. Zbyněk Škvor, CSc. and President of Donggong University Dr. Tae Sik Han signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Vice President for Planning Euy Soo Lee, secretary of the President's Office, Dr. Nam Kyol Heo and Head of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Jong Tae Rhee were present on behalf of the Dongguan University.

CTU was further represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering prof. Ing. Pavel Ripka, CSc., Dean of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering prof. Ing. Igor Jex, DrSc., Vice-Dean for Foreign Relations at the Faculty of Architecture doc. Ing. arch. Irena Fialová and prof. Ing. Jan Holub, Ph.D., head of FEL measurement. For the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies, the head of the Department of International Cooperation doc. Ing. Jan Vlachý, Ph.D. and Ing. Miloš Krejčí.
In addition to signing the Memorandum of Understanding, both sides have discussed plans for future cooperation in the scientific and academic context.
 

The Dongguan University, located in South Korea's Goyang and Gyeongju, as well as in Los Angeles, is one of the largest and most important research institutes in South Korea. In the academic year of 2017/2018 it teaches more than 15,000 students.
