The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) company published the QS World Rankings by Subject 2018 On 28 February. It offers one of the most comprehensive international comparisons of scientific disciplines. In the last edition of the ranking, CTU has been assessed in 25 cases out of total of 48th and ranked among 500 world's best universities this year.

Among the top-rated fields where CTU is active, we were evaluated in seven cases in two of the five broader fields of engineering and technology and science. In these fields, the overall placement was improved among more than 1,100 universities evaluated around the world.

In order to get the ranking for 2018, the team analyzed over 22 million documents, almost 200 million quotes. As part of their research, 14,000 entries were created and published. Two new fields have been added in this year's assessment making the QS WUR 2018 the most extensive evaluation that has been carried out so far, according to the volume of the studied disciplines.

In the overall annual comparison, CTU ranked 491. - 500., compared to last year's position at 501 - 550.

Architecture/Built Environment 151. – 200. place;

 

2) ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

Computer Science and Information Systems  201. – 250. place;

Engineering - Civil and Structural  101. – 150. place;

Engineering - Electrical and Electronic  201. – 250. place;

Engineering – Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manuf.  151. – 200. place;

 

4) NATURAL SCIENCES

Mathematics 251. – 300. place;

Physics and Astronomy 151. – 200. place.

CTU ranked twice at 220th place in thematic areas of Engineering and Technology and in Natural Sciences.
