On Thursday, 14 December, the results of the CTU's best athlete competition were announced in the Bethlehem Chapel. Vít Přindiš of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering was ranked first. The second position was taken by Kristýna Zahradníčková, student of Masaryk's Institute of Advanced Studies and third place had been taken by Bc. Kristiina Mäki of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Vít Přindiš is dedicated to water slalom. He had won the 2nd place in the K1 discipline at the Pau World Championship in an individual race, then won 1st place in the World Cup overall ranking, 1st place at the Pau World Championship, took 1st place at the European Championship in Tacena , 5th place in an individual race at the European Championship in Tacen, 1st place in the Czech Cup and 1st place at the Czech Academic Games.

Kristýna Zahradníčková, a bachelor student, finished 2nd at the World Aerobics and Fitness Championships in Leiden, took 1st place at the European Championship in Karlovy Vary and 1st at the Championship of the Czech Republic.
 
Kristiina Mäki is a devoted athlet, specifically in 1500 and 5,000 meter runs. This year she had won the 3rd place in the 1500 meters course and the 6th place in the 5000 meters course at the World Summer University in Taipei, finished 1st at the Czech Republic Championship in 1500 meters, 1st in the 5000 meters course at Finland Championship, 7th in 1500 meters course at the European Team Championship, and took the 8th place in 1500 meters at the Golden Snicker contest.

Jan Tesař from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering was ranked the 4th best athlete of CTU. He took the 3rd place in the Relay Championship in Belgrade in the 4 x 400 meters relay and finished 8th in 400 meters run. He finished 3rd at the World Summer Universiade in Taipei in the 4 x 400 meters relay run and took part in the semifinals in the 400 meters course.

Matěj Kozubek from the Faculty of Civil Engineering was ranked the 5th best athlete of CTU. The Open water swimmer took the 1st place at the World Championship in the long quadrathlon and won gold at the same competition  in the squadron quadrathlon relay swim. He had also ranked 18th at the World Championships at Balaton lake and the 13th in the open water swim at the World Summer Universiade in Taipei. He had won the gold medal in individual swimming at the Championships of the Czech Republic as well as at the Czech Cup.
