The finale of the 8th Annual Roboshow was held in Zenger auditorium of Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Charles square on Friday, 16 December. Teams by students of CTU and various high schools from across the country competed in a tense fight, accompanied by great public interest in which the NEXT TEAM from the Zlin Gymnasium had won. Its members were Petr Molek, David Strouhal and Jan Vlk.

The robots, build with Lego Mindstorms® sets, competed in contest called Pathfinder. The finale of the Roboshow hosted 16 high school teams and same number of university teams. The unique atmosphere that accompanied the whole event was made possible by various technical principles of robot construction, different strategies and keen devotion of students.

Second place was taken by the #include SSPU.h including Lukáš Letrik, Jan Kubeš and FIlip Kovačík from SŚPU in Hodonín. The bronze was taken by the Sufurky university team, including Miroslav Běloch, Maksym Shcherban ad Lukáš Bjelesch.

To complete the competition task this year, high school students had to assemble and program their robots so they would independently, without any outside help (such as remote control by voice, Bluetooth or through other communication channel), be able to complete the track, marked by a black guideline from start to end, without running over obstacles forming a maze in the middle.

Complete results of the Roboshow finals are published here.
