The Open Doors Day starts at 9.00 with presentations about the study programmes and specialisations that can be studied at Dopravka (the transport faculty). You will find out that Dopravka is an incubator of innovation in transport and learn why studying at Prague's Dopravka is the right choice.
After the presentations, stands (info points) of individual programmes and specialisations will be prepared in the faculty premises. You will see that Faculty of Transportation Sciences of CTU covers the whole spectrum of transport with its study programmes and specialisations. Furthermore, you will get all the necessary and detailed information on the admission procedure and the application process, as there will also be a stand of the study department. You will talk about accommodation in the dormitories and meals in the canteens with a representative from the Administration of Special Purpose Facilities of CTU in Prague.
And most importantly, you will see the faculty premises, laboratories and specialised workplaces where we are creating the future of transport, such as the Smart Cities laboratory. Rail fans will enjoy the Transport Hall with a model railway track and a showcase of railway technology. Aviation enthusiasts will enjoy air traffic control simulations, drone demonstrations and the A-320 and B-737 flight simulators. You will experience how virtual aviation can connect with the real environment directly on campus, as our faculty in cooperation with the International Virtual Aviation Organization (IVAO) organizes the Czech Thirty event. You can see and experience air traffic simulation for yourself and put yourself in the role of a pilot or air traffic controller. For motorcycle fans, there will be a presentation of the CTU Lions student team and much more.
When you're tired of exploring the faculty, you can chat with students and lecturers in the chill out zone over coffee, who will tell you everything you want to know about your studies and transportation.
