The BeInspired exhibition, which was created as part of the BeInspired@ICHEP2024 project, can be visited by the public from 16 September to 8 October in the little-known space of the Bethlehem Chapel called Lapidarium. The best works by high school and primary school students who got excited about the fascinating physics of the microworld during the workshop will be on display. There, they were inspired to create art by particle physics presented by both expert physicists and artists.

"The author of the idea is Dr. Michael Hoch from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, who worked closely with us. However, the main thanks go to the project participants, who have created beautiful works for the public," say the project organisers doc. Jaroslav Bielčík and Dr. Jiří Hejbal, particle physicists from CTU and the CAS. Painter Petra Buzková and choreographer Lucie Charouzová also collaborated on the project. The unique exhibition will now be open to the general public at CTU in Prague.

"I am glad that as the Rector of CTU and a particle physicist I will be able to inaugurate this unique exhibition together with my colleagues on our premises. Young people, students are always a great inspiration for me, in many - not only scientific - fields," said Rector Vojtěch Petráček.

"I am very excited about this exhibition, because it connects the world of art and physics, thus fulfilling the motto of the Bethlehem Beseda - a centre of science and art. The students are very clever and hardworking, they have great ideas and nothing is impossible for them," adds Jiřina Šimková, the dramaturge of the Bethlehem Beseda.

An introductory workshop for primary and secondary school students was held on 26 January, and the first exhibition of their work took place at the ICHEP (International Conference on High Energy Physics) 2024 at the Prague Congress Centre in July. At the most important particle physics conference, the organisers, in cooperation with other institutions, emphasised the ethical and social dimension of contemporary global research in general, in addition to the scientific programme.

The current exhibition is organized by the Bethlehem Beseda of Czech Technical University in Prague in cooperation with the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of Czech Technical University, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, the Institute of Physics of the CAS, the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the CAS, Charles University, the Czech Technical University in Prague, Palacký University in Olomouc, the Technical University of Liberec and the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
