The kick-off meeting of the Interreg Europe Repower Industries project took place in Prague under the auspices of CTU UCEEB as the lead partner of the project, which aims to improve conditions for promoting energy independence, efficiency and sustainability in industry over a four-year period. The meeting was attended by experts and industry representatives from different countries to discuss the project plans and strategies. The opening day was dedicated to presentations by each partner who presented their organisations and programmes to promote energy efficiency in the regions. This was followed by an in-depth discussion on the project's planned outputs and work plan for the coming years.

The international Repower Industries project aims to reduce the carbon footprint of industries, promote economic growth through job creation and the development of green technologies, set standards for sustainable industrial practices and improve energy security through the integration of energy storage solutions.

The kick-off meeting of the Repower Industries partners in Prague marks the start of an ambitious journey towards a more energy efficient and sustainable future for European industry. Participants agreed on the need to continue intensive cooperation and regular exchange of information in order to achieve the set goals and contribute to global climate protection efforts.

The key point of the program was a visit to ARBYD CZ s.r.o. in Chotíkov u Plzně, which is an example of successful integration of renewable energy sources and advanced energy storage solutions. ARBYD boasts a 500 kWp photovoltaic power plant, a system for storing unused energy and an automatic boiler with a wood waste shredder that provides a thermal output of 300 kW. In this way, the entire production and administration building is energy self-sufficient, providing a perfect example of good practice fully in line with the project objectives. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the innovative practices ARBYD uses to reduce CO2 emissions and overall energy costs.

The second day continued with an inter-regional workshop during which the project partners discussed the challenges faced by each region, including support programmes aimed at promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. The discussion focused on sharing experiences and finding common solutions to the challenges of energy transition in industry.

The project will continue to monitor progress and share milestones with the public and stakeholders. It is expected to deliver significant results not only in energy efficiency but also in the economic and social spheres. European industry thus has a promising future ahead of it, full of innovation and sustainable solutions.
