The Open Doors Day of Faculty of Civil Engineering, which will be held on on Saturday 27 January, will offer prospective students the opportunity to learn about the bachelor's degree programmes, information about the admission procedure, entrance examinations and preparatory courses, as well as to try out the mathematics admission test on the spot and get its evaluation. Those interested who cannot make it to Prague can use the stavarna.online website, where it will be possible to watch the introductory presentation live online. At the same time, the study programmes and specialisations are presented in pre-recorded interviews on this website. It is also possible to take a virtual tour of the faculty.

Introductory presentation on site and online

Saturday's Open Doors Day, which will be held from 9.00 to 14.00, is open to both prospective students and their parents.  In an introductory presentation from 9.30 to 10.30, the bachelor's degree programmes of Faculty of Civil Engineering - Civil Engineering, Architecture and Building Sciences, Geodesy and Cartography, Management and Economics in Construction, Scenic Technologies, Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering in English- will be presented. Those interested in studying here will get information about both their thematic focus and the differences between them.  This presentation will also be available live on the stavarna.online website for prospective students who cannot make it to Prague.

 

Stands with presentations and excursions around the faculty

Visitors to the faculty will be able to find further information about their studies at stands located in the atrium. It will be possible to discuss individual study programmes and their specialisations with teachers and current students and to see examples of student projects and research carried out at the faculty. Space will also be devoted to foreign language teaching and study abroad opportunities.

There will also be a number of excursions to the faculty premises - for example, it will be possible to visit the scanning electron microscopy laboratory, the robotics laboratory, the HVAC laboratories, the large classroom Atelier D and the membrane architecture studio or the unique water management hall.

 

Free trial maths entrance exams

Prospective students also be able to directly test how they would perform in the mathematics admission test on site. The so-called mock entrance test will begin at 14.00, and candidates must allow 70 minutes for the test itself. After the test is over, they can get acquainted not only with the final score, but also with the most appropriate procedures for solving the test problems. Participants will thus not only check their readiness in the area of knowledge, but also get used to the environment in which they will take the entrance test and the form of the test problems. The test will be free of charge.

The Open Doors Day at CTU Faculty of Civil Engineering, Thákurova 7 street , Prague 6 - Dejvice, will be held on Saturday 27 January 2024 from 9.00 to 14.00.
