A unique opportunity for everyone to get a glimpse of the current trends in information technology, find out the latest information about bachelor's and master's studies, and to see the work of students opens up at CTU Faculty of Information Technology (CTU FIT). The range of demonstrations is wide, from robots, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence to computer graphics or programming, all in one place and at one time during the FIT CTU Open Doors Day on Friday, 9 February 2024, 9:00-15:30.

The programme for visitors will be really rich. Lectures on Bachelor's and Master's studies are prepared, where visitors will learn everything about studying, admission procedure, get an overview of individual study specializations, about the possibilities of internships during their studies, or what student life at FIT CTU is like. There will also be information about study abroad around the world or about combined studies. At the stands of individual specialisations, students and teachers will explain visitors everything that might interest them and will be able to see students' work.

"At our faculty, students study the field of the future without a doubt. This is evidenced not only by the fact that we are the most sought-after faculty of CTU, but also by the fact that our graduates have a wide range of opportunities for employment in all industries that today cannot do without top IT professionals," says Ing. Zdeněk Muzikář, CSc., Vice-Dean for Academic and Pedagogical Activities of CTU FIT.

15 modern laboratories with state-of-the-art technological equipment will also open their doors to visitors, where they will see what research projects or other projects students are working on in collaboration with renowned companies.

What can visitors look forward to in the laboratories? Try out the interactive game wall and computer games created by students in the Graphics and Game Design Lab. They will see a demonstration of how humanoid robots are programmed and what they can do in the Intelligent Embedded Systems Lab. The Ethical Hacking Lab will reveal how students are learning to simulate the activities of real attackers to find weaknesses in a system and subsequently improve its security. The Image Processing Lab will present its technical background for capturing visual information and applying theoretical knowledge and practical problem solving.

During guided tours of the faculty's premises, visitors will have a look into the technological background and will also have the opportunity to see the National Technical Library, where professional publications or a space for preparation and study are available for students. The entire Open Doors Day of CTU FIT is complemented by a varied accompanying programme, where visitors can try out virtual reality, let artificial intelligence reward them for smiling, or get complete information about studying, the FIKS correspondence seminar, what the CTU Career Centre offers, what accommodation and catering options are available, or what study assistance is available for students with special needs.
