The 16th annual European Fair for Post-Secondary and Lifelong Learning Gaudeamus Praha 2024, which will take place at the PVA Expo Prague in Hall 4 on 23-25 January 2024, will once again be attended by the best technical university in the Czech Republic, Czech Technical University in Prague.

All eight faculties of CTU, the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies and the organisations established by the CTU Rectorate for students with specific educational needs - ELSA and CIPS - will take part in the education fair.

In addition to information about individual CTU departments and study programmes in both Czech and English, which will be provided directly by faculty students at the fair, visitors will again be able to look forward to attractive exhibits.

In addition to the classic tattoo on the skin (before the CTU gets under the skin) or the highly sought-after "blue drink with lion power" (one of the few refreshment offers at the fair), the CTU exhibition will feature, for example, a scale model of a part of an artificial slalom course, realized at the Water Sports Complex in Kadaň, which represents the cutting edge in the field of water sports simulation. It uniquely combines modern technology and sports spirit. It will be provided by Faculty of Civil Engineering. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will present a rocket complete with a prototype rocket propulsion system. Illustria, the largest student rocket in the Czech Republic, will be presented by the CTU Space Research student team; among other things, it will take part in the prestigious international competition European Rocketry Challenge in Portugal. The rocket's mission is to reach an altitude of 3 km using a hybrid rocket engine, and to perform a biological experiment during its descent.

There will be traditional soldering tests and the Ludvík robot, composed of more than 30,000 Lego parts - both provided by Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Together with Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, they will also showcase the eforce FEE Prague Formula, a fully electric and unmanned formula.

Faculty of Transportation Sciences will show off its motorbike - the EVO 3.0 electric racing vehicle. It will also offer an air traffic control simulation.

Faculty of Information Technology will once again provide the popular AI-based candy maker, who will gift visitors with lollies for a wide enough smile. Faculty of Biomedical Engineering has prepared a preliminary eye examination or demonstrations of the anatomy of the human body in virtual reality.

A wall for graffiti will have its Prague premiere, and a complete novelty will be the C-DURO all-composite bike made of carbon composite materials. Twice a day, visitors will be able to compete for valuable prizes for the best bike performance.

Electronic ticket presale is now open at www.gaudeamus.cz. Students can purchase a basic or discounted ticket in advance and save time when entering the fair.
