The Open Doors Day, which will take place at Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU in Prague on Saturday 25 November, will present the possibilities of studying both live and virtually. Study applicants who cannot make it to Prague can find out about bachelor's degree programmes, information about the admission procedure, entrance exams and preparation courses on the stavarna.online website, which will also be launched on the Open Doors Day.

The Open Doors Day will take place at Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU in Prague from 9.00. In the introductory presentation held from from 9.30 to 10.30, the bachelor study programmes will be presented. Those interested in studying here will learn about Civil Engineering, Architecture and Building Sciences, Geodesy and Cartography, Management and Economics in Civil Engineering, Scenic Technologies, Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering, both their thematic focus and the differences between them.

"Companies are very interested in our graduates. That is why we chose the Open Doors Day on Saturday, so that the parents of the applicants could come together with them and learn about the possibilities of future employment," says Prof. Karel Kabele, Vice Dean for Development and External Relations of Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU in Prague.

In the second part of the day, those interested in studying can choose between stands in the Faculty atrium with information about the admission procedure, the entrance exam in mathematics and the interview in architecture, individual bachelor's programmes, studying abroad and studying foreign languages.

"With our teachers and students, those interested will be able to discuss everything about individual study programmes and their specialisations, see examples of student projects and research carried out at the faculty. Topics will also include modern technologies, digital platforms and environmentally friendly approach to sustainability," says Prof. Zuzana Pešková, Vice-Dean for Pedagogical Activities of the faculty.

They can also take a look at the faculty premises as part of a series of excursions. For example, an exhibition of the best architectural designs by students of the Architecture and Civil Engineering programme across all semesters will be on display in Studio D.

The website stavarna.online will offer clear information about individual bachelor study programmes, answers to the most frequently asked questions about studying and it will also be possible to tour selected faculty premises virtually.
