Anyone who wants to can acquire or expand their knowledge in the field of information technology, regardless of age and education. All this is possible thanks to the lifelong learning programme at Faculty of Information Technology. Students may take one or more standard courses from the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Computer Science. It is possible to choose a full-time or combined form of study in both Czech and English. Interested students can apply no later than 21 September 2023 for the summer semester or 18 February 2024 for the following winter semester. However, admission is limited by course capacity.

The range of courses from the ten Bachelor's and nine Master's specialisations is really broad and covers all areas of computer science. From an introduction to cybersecurity, ethical hacking, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, programming and algorithmization, mathematical logic, embedded systems security, law and computer science, to extracting knowledge from data, this is just a fraction of the range of courses from which applicants can choose. The study is not conditional on prior specialized knowledge of information technology and does not bring the stress of passing an exam. On the other hand, more advanced courses are difficult to pass without the assumption of prior knowledge.

"We consider lifelong learning to be an integral part of our faculty's educational activities at FIT CTU. We believe that the importance and potential of this form of study will grow in the long term, because knowledge in the dynamic field of information technology will find wide application in all sectors of human activity today," says Ing. Zdeněk Muzikář, CSc., Vice Dean for Studies and Teaching.

Courses taken as part of the lifelong learning programme will deepen expertise, can offer new employment opportunities or can be be recognised if the participant decides to enrol in full-time study at FIT CTU. The Lifelong Learning Programme provides education university-type education without obtaining an academic degree. The study is fee-based, and although participants do not have legal student status, they have a unique opportunity to study computer science at the most desirable faculty of CTU.
