The Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics of the Czech Technical University in Prague, in collaboration with the Thein Investment Group, is opening the CIIRC Executive Academy in September. This unique education program for the professional development of top managers deals not only with areas such as business, strategy and leadership, but also covers key topics for high-quality present-day management decision-making: these include artificial intelligence, digital strategy and business 4.0.

The English-language CIIRC Executive Academy program, targeted at leading staff and top managers in various branches of industry, will run from September 20th, 2023 to February 29th, 2024, and is still accepting new applications. The teaching staff and the responsible persons for the program include Tomáš Budník, founder of the Thein Investment Group, who will himself teach Top Management.

We place great emphasis on the quality of the lecturers. We  want them to be absolutely the best in the business. In addition to learning fromTomáš Budník, participants will be able to work with Karel Dřevínka (Corporate Governance, Skils s.r.o.), Martin Novák (Corporate Finance, ČEZ a.s.) and Adam Sliwka (Strategy, KPMG),“ says Prof. Zuzana Dvořáková from the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) of the Czech Technical University in Prague.

Like MBA programs, the Academy will also cover skills such as Leadership, which will be taught by David Pirner (Grant Thornton ČR s.r.o.), and Trade and Marketing, which will be taught by Hana Kovářová (KB, a.s.) and Michael Pupala (Modrá pyramida, a.s).

“By organizing the CIIRC Executive Academy we are reacting to the demands of the market. We combine more established education modules for top managers with areas which we at CIIRC are specialists in, and that are playing an ever-greater role in decision-making and in the strategic positioning of companies. It is a competitive advantage and it is becoming an absolute necessity for present-day managers to understand how to use artificial intelligence, new business models and 5G networks,“ says Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific director of CIIRC CTU.

Prof. Vladimír Mařík himself will teach managers about artificial intelligence and its applications. He is not only the scientific director of  CIIRC CTU, but has also written numerous papers on artificial intelligence and is one of the founding fathers of industry 4.0 in the Czech Republic. Alongside him are Jan Šedivý, a specialist in artificial intelligence and big language models, whose topic will be machine learning, and Pavel Burget, the director of the Testbed for 4.0. Pavel Burget will lead classes on Industry 4.0.

“Present-day business places ever higher demands on the skills and the knowledge of professionals, and not only on those in leadership positions. The CIIRC Executive Academy program links theory with practical experience, and this brings not only theoretical knowledge for the participants but also specific instruments for the successful and innovative management of society in a rapidly changing business environment. I am very happy that I  can participate, and that I can pass on my know-how,” Tomáš Budník comments.
