The Open Doors Day, which will take place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering on Saturday 26 November, will offer prospective students information about the admission procedure, entrance examinations, preparatory courses and individual bachelor's degree programmes. There will also be space for questions, a tour of the laboratories and a guided tour of the faculty. Those who cannot make it to Dejvice for the Open Day will also have the opportunity to "walk through the faculty". From 26 November, the stavarna.online website will be launched, where they can get acquainted with the individual programmes in pre-recorded medallions, virtually visit many faculty premises and also watch a live introductory presentation with an introduction to the studies taking place directly at the faculty from 10.00-10.45

The open doors day will be held from 9.00 hours. During the introductory presentation, applicants will learn about the possibilities of bachelor study programmes at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU - Civil Engineering, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Surveying and Cartography, Management and Economics in Construction, Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering. Here they will learn their subject areas and the differences between them.

The upcoming novelty will also be presented here - a three-year professionally oriented bachelor's programme in Scenic Technologies, which involves three CTU faculties - the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Graduates of the programme will gain knowledge in the field of contemporary multimedia technologies in relation to their further application in the field of artistic creation, sound and lighting design, especially in stage, television and film operations.

In the second part, the visitors will be able to choose among the information stands according to their interests. Here they can get detailed information about the admission procedure, the entrance exam in mathematics and architecture, individual bachelor programmes, studying abroad and studying foreign languages.

Excursions to the faculty's laboratories will take place from 11:30-14:00. Visitors will be able to visit, for example, the Water Management Experimental Centre, the Experimental Centre, the Membrane Architecture Studio, the MEP - HVAC Lecture and Demonstration Laboratory and other facilities.

A guided tour is prepared for study applicants and graduates from 13.00 to 14.00, giving visitors a chance to peek inside the teaching spaces for students, selected laboratories and other facilities of the faculty.

Visitors will also be able to see two exhibitions taking place in the atrium of the faculty - the exhibition Students of the Architecture and Civil Engineering Programme, which presents the best diploma theses, and the exhibition Technical Monuments of the Elbe-Vltava Waterway, which presents the history and present of the 324 km long waterway.
