In the introductory presentation, Prof. Tomáš Svoboda will introduce you to AI trends. The researcher from the Department of Cybernetics manages a team of roboticists who brought home a medal from the unofficial "Robot Olympics" organized by the US government agency DARPA.
In the computational robotics laboratory of Prof. Jan Faigl, robots led by the SPOT robodog from Boston Dynamics will demonstrate their autonomous behaviour.
Dr. David Sedláček will introduce you to the playful tools of 3D modelling and augmented reality at the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction. Here you can try on a virtual wardrobe in a magic mirror.
You will get acquainted with the robot for automatic control of mobile phones at the Department of Computers under the guidance of doc. Miroslav Bureš and his colleagues.
At the Department of Control Engineering, under the supervision of Dr. Jiří Zemánek, you will try to make something with your own hands. Inspired by his courses at MIT and Harvard, cyberneticist and "scientific tinkerer" Jiří Zemánek teaches his students to use software and hardware tools to create programmable projects using digital fabrication.
The five-hour session will take place in Building E, at Karlovo náměstí 13 in Prague, and you can register now here. The program is designed for individual applicants to study computer science, cybernetics/robotics and computer graphics. Due to limited capacity, we unfortunately cannot confirm class participation.
