CTU is sustainable and, like 23 other Czech universities, is part of the UNILEAD project. What does the university do for sustainability and how does it particularly promote it in practical life? And how do these efforts contribute to CTU's ranking in the international QS University Ranking on Sustainability 2024? Programme:

1) Prof. Jan Tywoniak: What is sustainability and what we are already doing for it at CTU and what we should and could do

Prof. Jan Tywoniak is the nominated chairman of the CTU Academic Senate Sustainability Commission and the author of the energy concept of the iconic low-energy house Sluňákov and the FIRSTLIFE house for the last edition of the Solar Decathlon competition. His professorial lecture summarised the principles of sustainability in buildings already in 2006.

2) Caleb House, MSc.: QS University Ranking on Sustainability 2024 - results just revealed

Caleb House, MSc. works as International Relations Coordinator / Director of Ranking Strategy at CTU Rectorate

3) Doc. Antonín Lupíšek: UNILEAD project results

Doc. Antonín Lupíšek holds the post of Scientific Director of the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings. His field of expertise is sustainable building construction and operation. He is the coordinator of the UNILEAD project for CTU.

4) Questions and Discussion

Intelligent buildings: The two-year Master's degree programme in Intelligent Buildings is jointly taught by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The study programme is suitable not only for graduates of Bachelor programmes, but also as an extension of qualifications for graduates of other Master programmes.
