Once again, CTU students have the opportunity to enroll in the prg.ai Minor program. It represents a unique combination of the forces of four excellent Prague faculties in order to provide a deeper insight into the field of artificial intelligence. The program is intended primarily for students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology. Registration for the program will run until 22 March. The results will be announced on 10 April.

The prg.ai Minor program offers various perspectives on the field of artificial intelligence. It consists of the best subjects from the four participating faculties and aims to expand knowledge about AI among talented students from CTU in Prague and Charles University. The program was piloted in the winter semester of 2019, and is currently being studied by more than 50 students. The Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University have joined the initiative, which deepens cooperation between Czech scientific institutions in the field of technology. For successful completion of the program, students receive a certificate that will help them open the door to the world of AI industry or science.

Ing. Marek Szeles, who studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University and participated in the program, talks about his experience: “As a software engineer, I want to be as educated as possible in the field of autonomous management and prg.ai Minor allowed me to look into this topic from the perspective of four Prague elite faculties. This is a completely unique opportunity. Over time, through the technical side, I got to the ethical and social issues of the application of artificial intelligence, which I would like to address in the future. "

In addition to the opportunity to study quality subjects from other faculties, prg.ai Minor is also about a community of similarly attuned technically oriented students, for whom events with interesting guests are organized. Applications are judged by a committee composed of representatives of the participating faculties on the basis of achievement, technical knowledge and motivation of students. The program was initiated and managed by the prg.ai association, whose ambition is to make Prague a world center for artificial intelligence.
