The 12th InstallFest conference will take place in the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Charles Square from 29 February to 1 March. The traditional weekend event is designed for all Linux, computer, electronics or hardware enthusiasts. The conference focuses on the Linux operating system and the field of open-source technologies, organized by the Student Union of CTU - Silicon Hill Club. The event is held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering prof. Petr Páta. The event is organized by students and graduates of FIT and FEE.

In two lecture halls it will be possible to listen to 33 lectures and two classrooms will be reserved for 14 practical workshops. Traditional stands will also be open, where it will be possible to meet representatives of organizations and projects such as Admins SH, Bastiers SH, CZ.NIC, LinuxEXPRES.cz and OpenOffice.cz, base48 and brmlab, SUSE and Vim. At the Vim booth, candidates can try the Vim challenge, in which they must complete the task with as few keystrokes as possible.

Admission to the event is free, registration is required.
