From 17 to 28 of July, the 8th year of the CTU camp Jáma Lvová will take place at the Meziříčko recreational center. It will be attended by 24 gifted children from the second level of elementary schools and the corresponding classes of multi-year grammar schools from all over the Czech Republic. The camp, being the closing ceremony of the year-round mathematical and programming correspondence competition, will focus on bioinformatics this year.

Under the guidance of experienced organizers from the students and coworkers of the CTU, the pupils will try working on the research project, including the final presentation and thesis defense. They also have the opportunity to listen to a number of engaging lectures from technical and science fields such as genetics and medicine, through modular arithmetic to programming. The participants also plan a trip following the trail of Count Nesztowitz Pravý (Count Chick Pocs) to his icy exile in the slow-melting Siberian glaciers.
