The celebration of 25 anniversary of the first connection of the Czech Republic to the Internet will be organized by CESNET in collaboration with CTU in auditorium 256 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on 13 February (Technical 4 street, Prague 6).
The adjoining lecture which will be translated simultaneously, will feature leading personalities of Czech and foreign internet and academia. Among the guests will be, for example, Steve Goldstein who personally attended the official launch of internet network in Czechoslovakia 25 years ago, and also the father of the Internet, Vint Cerf.
Interesting demonstration of CESNET´s research will be presented in the foyer of the auditorium. Guests will also be able to visit the exhibition “A Century of information - computer world” at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Dejvice.
