From October 23 to November 14, the company will present its services in the Czech pavilion and exhibit a drone that was used in a pilot project for autonomous delivery in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University. It will also present its project in the field of robotic automation.

The United Arab Emirates is the first country in the Middle East to which Packeta
Group has started delivering parcels. This year, Packeta plans to start shipping to Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia as well. "In the first quarter of this year, we held a number of intensive meetings in the UAE and became a member of the Czech Business Council Dubai. Thanks to this partnership, Packeta has secured a stable base for its expansion. The Emirates is the first country in the Middle East to which we have started delivering parcels. We are even more pleased that the exhibition is taking place in a country where we have our own entity," says Simona Kijonková, founder of Zásilkovna and CEO of Packeta Group.

"We are one of the selected Czech exhibitors and as a technology leader we will be proud to present how we not only apply technology to our processes, but also how we develop it ourselves. Together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU we have prepared a video demonstrating autonomous drone delivery with a link to our vision of hydrogen and the idea of sustainability, which is one of the sub-themes of this year's exhibition. Robotic automation is also a major sub-theme of this year's show and Packeta has now completed one of its key projects in this area. With our exhibition we will emphasise that Packeta is a global technology company and has a place in creating the future, which is one of the main themes of this year's exhibition," adds Simona Kijonková.

The drone can avoid obstacles and it can optimize the solution of the task

"The exposition of the Packeta Group and the Czech Technical University of Technology in the Czech EXPO pavilion represents the future of logistics, in which autonomous drones will cooperate with ground robots in delivering shipments," said Martin Saska, head of the Multirobotic Systems Group at FEL CTU, commenting on the joint exposition. Thanks to on-board sensors and artificial intelligence, our drones are able to react in real time to the evolving situation in their environment, avoid obstacles and optimize the solution to the given task. It is the cognitive behaviour and coordination of large teams of cooperating drones that are crucial for logistics services," adds Martin Saska, whose Multirobotic Systems group, based at the Department of Cybernetics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, is at the forefront of its field. They are developing a globally unique technology for very precise control of helicopter groups, which is proving to be significantly the most reliable and successful of all competing solutions.

Packeta has found a local partner for the Emirates

Newly, e-commerce stores can reach more than nine million customers in the United Arab Emirates with Packeta. In cooperation with local shipping partner Aramex, it is possible to deliver shipments to addresses in D+3 mode. Packeta offers delivery to all Emirates at the same price, starting from CZK 550 excluding VAT. All shipments are transported to the Emirates by air and cannot transport goods that are automatically excluded from air transport by current legislation.

The Packeta Group was originally established under the name of Zásilkovna in 2010 in the Czech Republic. It is a Czech franchise logistics and technology project of Simona Kijonková. Since then, it has developed into one of the most successful companies in the CEE region providing comprehensive logistics services for online shops. Today, Packet Group Holding consists of 14 companies operating in 8 countries, delivering to 33 countries.

The holding is managed by Simona Kijonková. Packeta Group also operates the successful service Between Us for delivery of parcels between individuals. Packeta currently has more than 8 thousand own delivery points, almost 92 thousand partner delivery points and cooperates with more than 30 thousand e-shops. The Group's turnover in 2020 was CZK 2.5 billion, and the number of shipments transported was 40.5 million.
