Promoting the use of space technologies in the terrestrial sector is one of the priorities of the European Space Agency (ESA). The ESA Technology Broker project, which is working to commercialise space technologies within the Technology Centre, also supports companies that decide to apply these technologies to develop, innovate or increase the competitiveness of their products.
ESA SPARK FUNDING is now offering a unique funding opportunity of €60,000 for pilot technology transfer to companies, start-ups or research centres that want to improve their product with space technology.
The ESA SPARK FUNDING call is newly launched in the Czech Republic as of 1 August 2022 and will be repeated until 2024.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups as well as research centres and universities
are eligible to participate. Applicants' applications will be evaluated on the basis of business case, technology maturity and socio-economic impact. The evaluation committee will be composed of representatives of the ESA Technology Broker team, ESA CommercialisationGateway and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic.
The deadline for the first call for applications is 17 October 2022.
