HORIZONT EUROPE - Global Challenges and Competitiveness - Cluster 5 - Climate, Energy and Mobility
The main objectives of this Cluster 5 - Climate, Energy and Mobility are to combat climate change, to improve the competitiveness of the energy and transport industries as well as the quality of services these sectors provide to society. This requires a better understanding of the causes of climate change, its evolution, risks, impacts and opportunities. Energy and transport systems need to be climate and environmentally friendly, smarter, safer, more resilient, more inclusive, more competitive and more efficient.
The main driving force here is the need to decarbonise the energy and transport sectors by 2050 while strengthening their competitiveness.
On 6 December 2022, the European Commission approved the Climate, Energy and Mobility Work Programme for the period 2023-2024.
