The summer school is intended for employees and project managers of research organizations of all types, ie universities, institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, other public research institutions, teaching hospitals and institutions of other legal forms. It is also suitable for employees of technology transfer centers, or for those who are interested in research and development at the regional or municipal level (for example, RIS3 managers). The summer school is recommended for employees at various levels of management, leaders of research groups, but also for other employees interested in this topic.
The summer school will focus on finding answers to the following questions:
What are the main principles and values that govern the world of researchers? How to communicate better with scientists? Can a research organization and scientists be managed at all? What principles, which are used in the private and sometimes public sector, are used successfully? How to set up the right "corporate" culture in a research organization? How to combine publication culture with culture of application, intersectoral cooperation, transfer and commercialization? How to find a recipe for mutual understanding between scientists and "administrators"? How to convince scientists to share the results of their work with the public - ie to transfer, commercialize, cooperate with the application sphere and communicate more? How to raise awareness of intellectual property in a research organization and its protection?
