The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic announces the 9th joint call within the European Interest Group for Cooperation with Japan (EIG CONCERT Japan) on the topic "Design of Materials with Atomic Precision".
The competition was announced on the basis of the "Memorandum of Cooperation - EIG CONCERT Japan", which was signed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on January 8, 2021. The aim of the Memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between European countries and Japan in scientific and technological research. The 9th Joint Call in 2022 is based on the worldwide need to develop new materials with atomic precision that will be a step forward in the field of multifunctional design and development of advanced materials for versatile social and industrial applications.
The 9th Joint Call was announced on Monday 9 May 2022 on this website with a deadline on Monday 18 July 2022 at 10:00 CET and with the announcement of the results in December 2022. A maximum of 6 projects will be supported within this call.
Financial support from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports opens up the possibility of financing researchers from university workplaces, research organizations, and small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of basic and industrial research. Financial support is intended for the implementation of joint projects in the form of acquisition of small assets, research material, personnel costs, mobility costs (accommodation and travel costs). Consortia consisting of at least 3 participants / project partners can apply for a grant, of which one partner will be from Japan and two from selected European countries (Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey)
Project proposals will be submitted online to the Secretariat of the European Interest Group for Cooperation with Japan. At the same time, the Czech applicants submit a project proposal to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports according to the instructions given in the text of the call.
