The Lvíčata University Primary School focuses on educating children who show an aptitude for and interest in the natural and technical sciences.
Pupils from Lvíčata regularly take part in a range of maths, logic, science and art competitions, and are usually very successful in them. They also have the opportunity to visit specialist departments at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT), and experts from the various faculties contribute to the teaching. Thanks to small class sizes and very close cooperation with parents, the pupils achieve excellent results.
Lvíčata Primary School collaborates with institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the European Space Agency’s education office; pupils follow the Science Festival with great enthusiasm every year, visit the laboratories of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University, and their IT skills are developed in collaboration with the organisation ‘AI for Children’. Lvíčata Primary School has also become part of the network of schools collaborating with Mensa Czech Republic.
