The goal is to show that studying technology is not something people should be afraid of, but on the contrary, it is a fun and exciting journey of discovery. Three rounds of the correspondence competition take place during the school year, and during the holidays, a summer camp is prepared for the researchers, where, in addition to technically focused lectures, participants have the opportunity to get to know each other and the organizers - CTU students - and thus gain a better understanding of studying at a university. During the camp, each participant also participates in a project of their own choice.
The camp takes place from July 18 to July 29, 2026. To register, fill out the camp application and submit it through the submission system or send it to us via e-mail. Priority is given primarily to the researchers, but there is also a great chance for potential substitutes. The price of the camp is 1200 CZK for the researchers, 3000 CZK for others.
The camp is organized by students and teachers of the Czech Technical University in Prague and their colleagues from other universities and high schools. All organizers have extensive experience in organizing similar events, both from other correspondence seminars and from other organizations working with youth (Junák – Czech Scout, Kondor, …). At least one trained health worker is always present at the camp.
At the beginning of the camp day, there is a lecture on a selected topic from the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, logic or computer science. If the topic is more complex, the lecture is divided into easier and harder variants to be beneficial for all participants. The regular program includes sports, where everyone can try various traditional and non-traditional games, such as lacrosse, ringo, etc. The afternoon is devoted to various, mostly team games, which can be both “running” and more intellectually focused or supporting and strengthening team cooperation. In the evenings, a traditional campfire or dance evening is a must.
During the camp, time is also set aside for team projects. At the beginning, each participant chooses a project from a wide range of options to work on during the camp. The project is led by one of the organizers and the range of topics is very diverse: from technical (e.g. making a walkie-talkie or programming) to scientific (e.g. microscopy) to handicraft activities (crocheting, building a hovercraft). At the end, the children present their results to the others at a small camp "defense".
In addition to camp games, expanding knowledge and sports, the camp primarily offers its participants the opportunity to meet like-minded peers from all over the country and often establish long-term friendships.
