On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, a ceremonial public meeting of the CTU Scientific Council took place in the Bethlehem Chapel, led by the Rector, Prof. Michal Pěchouček, with the participation of members of the university management.

The meeting program included the presentation of the CTU Medal to doc. Ing. Ivan Štekl, CSc., Director of the CTU Institute of Technology and Research. This award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the university in the Czech Republic and abroad.

The ceremony also included the appointment of new associate professors. Fourteen new associate professors were formally appointed from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture, and the Faculty of Transportation. At the end of the meeting, the graduates of the doctoral study programs were announced. A total of 95 new graduates successfully completed their doctoral studies at all eight faculties of CTU.
