On June 10, 2026, the 18th annual StreTech 2026 – High School Technology conference took place, held as usual at the Czech Technical University in Prague. This prestigious event is organized annually in collaboration with high schools and has been running continuously since 2007. Over the years, the StreTech conference has established a significant position among educational and outreach activities supporting high school students in their professional development.

The conference once again drew great interest from students across the Czech Republic. Last year’s event was attended by students from more than 60 high schools, and this year’s conference saw a similarly diverse turnout. Students presented their projects across a wide spectrum of academic disciplines—from the humanities to the technical fields. This diversity of topics and approaches created an inspiring environment in which students, teachers, and other participants exchanged experiences, ideas, and professional knowledge.
As is tradition, the conference opened with a meeting between principals and representatives of secondary schools and high schools and the university administration. The event also included a brief presentation of the master’s program for teachers of technical subjects, which is taught in collaboration with several faculties of the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies at CTU.

The student projects themselves were on display in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering faculties; this year, there were 153 of them. High school students from across the country thus had the opportunity to present the results of their work, receive valuable feedback, and develop their presentation skills.
The atmosphere of the conference was once again very inspiring and dynamic, as evidenced by the photos from the event, which you can view here: ZDE. The gathering of students, educators, and industry professionals once again confirmed the importance of this conference as a platform for supporting talented high school students and fostering their interest in further education and professional careers.
You can find the proceedings of all the projects here: ZDE.
