On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the traditional presentation of Prof. Vlček's special scholarship took place at the Residence of the Mayor of Prague. Six university students received the award, which is provided by the Study in Prague consortium. Their significant contribution to Czech education and society was recognized in the keynote speech by Czech economist, philosopher, university professor, and director of the Václav Havel Library, Tomáš Sedláček.

The Prof. Miroslav Vlček Special Scholarship is an expression of respect for the memory of the head of the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Transportation Sciences of the Czech Technical University in Prague and long-time vice-rector for international relations. He was the spiritual father and coordinator of the Study in Prague project, which brought together seven Prague public universities and attracted hundreds of foreign students to study in Prague. This year, the Study in Prague consortium celebrates 10 years of successful teamwork, shared vision, and promotion of Prague as an excellent student destination.

Dominik Pastorek received the scholarship for his admirable work in his dual role as a student ambassador. Dominik actively contributes to the recruitment of foreign students and represents CTU within the Study in Prague consortium. He also excels in representing FIT in student-focused activities and promotes study opportunities to foreign applicants. Dominik represents CTU/FIT, shares his student experiences, and encourages young people, especially international students, to consider studying at our university. Thanks to his own project, Engineering Passion, in which he independently designs and constructs a fully 3D-printed tracked vehicle capable of transporting a person, he is an example for international applicants.

"I greatly appreciate the nomination and award, and I am grateful to everyone who tirelessly supports me in my work," said Dominik in his acceptance speech, addressing specifically Daniela Illnerová, Vice-Dean for International Relations at the Faculty of Information Technology, and Eva Marková, Manager of International Student Recruitment at the International Relations Department of the CTU Rector's Office.
